For Impact and Income
We Create Books
We are the UN-traditional publisher that builds career authors. Our leverage system will get your book into bookstores, libraries, and specialty stores — while you keep your rights and your royalties.
Your book in the real world.
Your book is good. People love it.
But you’re worried that your book will stay stuck online, invisible in a massive marketplace. You’ve spent so many hours writing, polishing, and editing, but now you’re buried under algorithms, lost in a sea of titles, and tired of marketing into the void.
You didn’t pour your heart into your book just for it to fade away in obscurity. You want real readers, real shelves, and real validation as a professional author.
We get it. You see, we’re authors, too.
That’s why we are a collaborative traditional publisher that forms strategic partnerships with our authors. We work together to establish you as a career author.
You want a fair shake.
At Vendela Publishing, we are the UN-traditional publisher who partners with our authors to get them access to In Real Life spaces — without the sky-high prices of most hybrids or the loss of control from gatekeeping Old-World traditional deals. Vendela is a publisher who will believe in you and provide concerned support, community connections, and continuous guidance.
Our process is simple:

Hey, I’m Lana and I’m Here for the Authors Who Deserve More
I know what it feels like to pour your heart into a book and still struggle to get it into readers’ hands. I’ve been there — as an award-winning author, ghostwriter, and publishing coach for over 30 years, I’ve seen every side of this industry.
I started Vendela Publishing because authors deserve more than algorithms and sky-high hybrid fees. You deserve real bookstore and library access, full creative control, and a publishing partner who believes in you and supports you as a career author.
Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of authors take their manuscripts from “almost there” to respected, shelf-ready books that stand tall in the marketplace. My passion is simple: making sure quality authors get the recognition they deserve as the professionals they are.
That makes us the UN-traditional publisher that truly cares about our authors. We walk with you every step of the way after the book comes out, as long as you want. We are author-owned and operated.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
At Vendela, our philosophy is simple: you wrote the book—you deserve the earnings. That’s why we never take a percentage of your royalties.
Traditional publishers and hybrids often claim a share of every sale, but we believe your creative work should stay fully yours. Instead, we charge a modest monthly membership fee that covers professional publishing, global distribution, and ongoing author support.
This model frees you to:
Keep all your book income—no hidden deductions.
Retain full creative control—your vision guides the project.
Access real publishing advantages—from bookstore and library distribution to award eligibility.
Our success depends on your success—not on cutting into your royalties. We grow when our authors feel proud, accomplished, and supported in their writing careers.
-
No. We evaluate manuscripts for quality, marketability, and fit. Our goal is to help serious authors build successful careers, so we are selective about the projects we take on and accept about 50% of submissions.

-
Vendela operates on a transparent author-investment model. Authors pay for professional publishing services, education, support, and career development. This allows authors to keep their rights and royalties while receiving ongoing assistance long after publication. Part of the cost is to cover production, but most of it is to provide massive support through training and hands-on public relations.
